Where to find the iCal link on Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Vrbo, Google and Outlook
The exact path on each platform, both to copy your export link and to import your shared calendar.
Every platform hides its iCal link somewhere different. Here is the exact path on each, both for copying your export link and for importing your shared calendar.
Airbnb
On a computer: Listings → your listing → Availability → Sync calendars. “Export calendar” shows your link; “Import calendar” lets you paste an external link and name it.
Booking.com (Extranet)
Rates & Availability → Calendar sync. Pick the room first: each room type has its own link. Export, then add your shared link under “Connect a new calendar”.
Expedia (Partner Central)
Rates & Availability → External calendars. Expedia expects one link per unit, and the import must be confirmed before it becomes active.
Vrbo
Calendar → Import/Export. “Export calendar” gives you your link, “Import calendar” adds somebody else’s.
Google Calendar
On a computer: gear ⚙ → Settings → under “Settings for my calendars”, click the calendar → Integrate calendar → copy the Secret address in iCal format.
Outlook / Microsoft 365
Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars → Publish a calendar. Choose how much detail to publish, then copy the ICS link.
Apple iCloud
In the Calendar app or on iCloud.com, share the calendar as a “public calendar” and copy the address. If a tool rejects it, replace webcal:// with https:// at the start.
The two most common mistakes
- Mixing up export and import. The link a platform gives you is meant to be read by others. For that platform to block your dates, you must import a link into it.
- One link for several rooms. In a guest house each room has its own calendar. A single link would close the whole property on every booking.
Frequently asked questions
Is the iCal link confidential?
Yes. It carries the busy dates of your listing, and sometimes a guest's first name. Treat it like a password: never publish it, and regenerate it on the platform if you think it has been shared.
Can I import several links into one listing?
Most platforms allow it, but it is more fragile. It is simpler to import a single link: your shared calendar, which already contains every source.
Why does my export link show unreadable text?
That is normal: an iCal file is a text format meant for machines. If you can see lines starting with BEGIN:VEVENT with your dates, the link works.
